Confessions of a Former Codeable Employee

They run a skeleton crew staff where only half are paid a living wage. The women are paid less than the men – some less than their local minimum wage and no labor protections because staff are contractors. Constantly promising to make staff employees and provide benefits to them and to get external funding, but never comes to fruition.

Many staff work multiple jobs to continue to afford their mortgages. Contracts with staff not upheld, no raises or annual reviews, no incentive to work hard. Low-performers remain and are often promoted and hard workers leave. Very toxic work culture with constantly-changing priorities and no department budgets or lack of standard operating procedures.

No one knows what the COO and CTO even do, including their direct reports, if you work hard you’ll just get more work, too much work to do without unpaid overtime

The above message is yet another example of someone coming forward to confirm that Codeable is not what their carefully curated image portrays. Beware!
